elctric bikes are pretty fast these days but we are not referring to speed but temperature. We have had 100 degree days for about half a week and I really learned to appreciate the electric assist on my Brompton.
I am a fairly strong rider but in this heat you slow down quite a bit, slowing down of course limits cooling airflow and makes matters worse. Accelerating on your electric bike is like turning the ceiling fan on to. I always ride with my 10 year old puppy so comfort is not just important for me.
So can you hit 100 on an electric bike? you sure can and its not a big deal at all.
