Surly Pugsley with BionX motor--quite a ride!

Installing a 350 watt BionX motor system on a Surly fatbike is probably the coolest project we've gotten to do here at NYCeWheels, and our customers seem to agree, given the amount of enthusiasm we've gotten in response to these electrified beasts.

I couldn't help taking one out for a spin myself, and I have to say--the BionX Pugsleys really live up to their hype. Learn more by checking out my review of the Surly Pugsley with BionX motor.

A BionX Guide for the Rest of Us

BionX electric bike conversion kits are super handy, amazing pieces of technology, capable of giving an electric boost to almost any bicycle!

However, because they are based on fairly complicated (to we mere non-tech-savvy mortals) technology, sometimes bikers who could really benefit from a BionX system are too intimidated to go for it. That's why we wrote this handy BionX tech specs guide in plain English, for folks without degrees in electrical engineering!

Tern Joe P24: folding versatility

The Joe P24 full sized folding bike is one of our many new folding bikes from Tern. The Joe P24 is an incredibly versatile bike, from its disc brakes and wide tires giving it stability and a solid feel, to its comprehensive 24 speed drive train that offers the ability to ride over all kinds of urban terrain.

I couldn't resist taking this one out for a test drive as soon as Peter finished tuning it up! Check out my review of the Tern Joe P24 over on the NYCeWheels site.

A Year of Brompton Love

Great folding bikes inspire people to do great things. Such is the case with one of our customers, who has so enjoyed riding his raw lacquer Brompton (featuring P bars and a Brooks saddle) that he has spent the last year authoring a popular blog, The Dirty Brompton.

He was kind enough to grace us with a first anniversary retrospective. Head over to the website to read all about his experiences riding a Brompton folding bike now!
