Folding bikes in New York City have been on the rise for some time now. This is due in part to the increasing number of bike lanes and shift in city policy in favor of folding bikes and bicycles in general. However it also has a lot to do with the increased quality of affordable folding bicycles.
New York City is of course the ideal place for folding bikes so it is no shock that more and more people have been riding folding bikes around Manhattan and the five boroughs.
With space at a premium and city hall looking more and more favorably upon bicycling in general, folding bikes are really coming into their own as prime modes of transportation.
