The 24Volt 24ah battery upgrade is slightly heavier than the Lithium option but much lighter than the lead acid batteries GoPed offered for many year. The main advantage is that this Lithium Iron Phosphate battery will last for about 1000 charge cycles which gives your electric GoPed about 5 times the life span.

Problem is, they disappeared from Go-Ped's website and are nowhere to be found.
ReplyDeleteI did some detective work, and it seems the LifePo4 upgrade accessory had more demand than Patmont anticipated. They're sold out.
Be patient, as this is the best yet option for those lamenting the high price of the LiPo batteries. LiPo is still superior to the LiFePo4s in that they require an onboard balancer as they want to charge to the level of the lowest battery in the series.
The LiPos still have a better range, but LiFePo4s have their own advantages - the biggest being less susceptible to heat buildup.
